How to set up IKEv2 VPN on iPhone

In this tutorial we will show you how to set up IKEv2 VPN on iPhone & iPod Touch but first let’s see what are our requirements and recommendations.

If you still want to set up IKEv2 VPN on iPhone manually, go step-by-step through following instructions:

IKEv2 VPN Setup Instructions

1. Go to Settings.

   

2. Tap on VPN (2).

   

3. Tap on Add VPN configuration… (3).

   

4. Make sure that Type is IKEv2 (4).
   
   Set up the fields (5) as following:
   
   Description: Give a name to connection so you would remember what connection you use. We recommend to use CactusVPN here.
   
   Server: type the hostname of a CactusVPN server.

   You can find all the available servers in Settings -> VPN Servers in your account on our website.

   Remote ID: type the same hostname you typed in the Server field.

   Username and Password (6): Enter your VPN username and VPN password.

   You can find your VPN username and password in the client area on our website, by going to Settings -> VPN Username & Password. Make sure you use your VPN username and password and NOT the client area credentials (What is the difference?).

   Tap Done (7).

   

Now your IKEv2 VPN on iPhone connection is created and you can start using it by switching ON the Status toggle (8).
